Gustavo Prata

He holds a degree in Social Communication from ESPM, a postgraduate degree in Graphic Design from the Miami Ad School, and studied Art History at Enforex in Barcelona. Among the support groups he participated in, the Clínica Geral at Ateliê 397 and Hermes Artes Visuais stand out. He has taken part in group exhibitions at Wesley Duke Lee Art Institute, Funarte, Ricardo Camargo Galeria, Ateliê 397, Galeria Rabieh, Galeria de Pintura Brasileira, Casa Galeria, Edifício Vera, Fonte, and Galeria Karla Osório, among others.

Notable art salons he has participated in include those in Ubatuba, Praia Grande, and Guarulhos. Between 2020 and 2021, he engaged in three six-month artistic residency programs: Kaaysá Art Residency in Boiçucanga beach, Hermes Artes Visuais, and Edifício Vera, all in São Paulo. In 2021, he presented the solo exhibitions ‘O Dentro é o Fora’ at Hermes Artes Visuais, a result of his residency, and ‘A Mancha dos Dias’ at Salão Angelim in Blumenau (SC) through an open call. In 2022, he participated in the São João residency in São José do Vale do Rio Preto (RJ) and, as a result of another call, showcased the solo exhibition ‘Híbridos: Amálgamas de Ontem’ at Centro de Cultura Ordovás in Caxias do Sul (SC).

Lastly, in 2023, one of his works was selected by Paulo Herkenhoff to be part of the collection at the Museum of Fine Arts in Rio de Janeiro. Additionally, he was featured in the group exhibition ‘Zonas de Sombra’ at Pinacoteca de São Bernardo do Campo, also as a result of an open call. Currently, he shares a studio with ten other artists at Fonte, an independent art space located in Vila Madalena, São Paulo.
