The Immanence of Trees by Luiz Gallina Neto

About the Exhibition

Galeria Karla Osorio proudly presents The Immanence of Trees by Luiz Gallina Neto, a solo exhibition featuring 30 recent and mostly unpublished works. Curated by Bené Fonteles, the show explores the poetic and ancestral essence of nature through Gallina’s unique visual language.

Gallina’s paintings transcend mere representation. His mastery of layering and texture evokes the tactile presence of trees and the subtle energies of the Cerrado biome. His work seeks to reveal the micro within the macro, balancing light and shadow to express the silent vitality of nature.

Fonteles describes Gallina’s process as one of “alchemical precision,” where color becomes a vehicle for memory, emotion, and transformation. The artist’s canvases invite viewers into a meditative dialogue—where silence speaks, and the gaze becomes horizontal, mature, and deeply intuitive.

Artistic Vision

Gallina’s art is rooted in the belief that we are all part of a unified, musical cosmos. His paintings are visual poems that honor the immanence of beauty and the healing power of art. By stripping away illusion, his work illuminates the raw truth of our shared existence—reminding us that we were once trees, minerals, and ancestral beings.

His 2025 series reflects a commitment to exactitude and soulful expression. Each piece is a celebration of life and a response to the Earth’s critical moment of transition. Gallina paints with the wisdom of a Zen archer, where the arrow, the target, and the emotion become one.
