ARPA Fair 2024, Booth D5

Wednesday, Jun 26

Karla Osorio Gallery marks its presence at the 3rd edition of the ARPA Fair, one of the most anticipated contemporary art events, which will take place in São Paulo from June 26 to 30, 2024. Located at booth D 5 in the main sector of the fair, the gallery will present the work of three young female artists, each with a unique approach and deep poetry, highlighting female engagement and connection with nature.

Featured Artists

Selva de Carvalho brings a cosmic spiritual aspect, with vibrant drawings and sculptures that explore the universe and spirituality. Her works are a visual journey that invites the viewer to reflect on the cosmos and our place in it.

Siwaju finds inspiration in Yoruba myths, creating iron sculptures of various scales. Her pieces are a tribute to the rich African cultural tradition, reinterpreted through a contemporary lens.

Verena Smit uses words as artwork, creating pieces that evoke deep and universal emotions. Her works are intimate yet resonate with a broad audience, exploring themes of love, loss, and identity.

Guest Artist

To complement the curation, the gallery will also present works by guest artist Gustavo Prata, who currently has a solo exhibition at the gallery in Brasília. His newspaper collages and metal sculptures perfectly dialogue with the works of the three represented artists, creating a cohesive and engaging narrative.
