Ricardo Homen

Born in Belo Horizonte/MG in 1961. Painter, draftsman. He was already participating in group exhibitions when he attended the fine arts course at the Guignard School in 1984. He has presented his works in group exhibitions in several cities – São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Curitiba, Belo Horizonte, Recife, Belém and Salvador. Throughout his career, highlights include his participation in the Panorama of Contemporary Drawing in 1990 at the Museum of Modern Art of São Paulo – MAM/SP, and three solo exhibitions at the São Paulo Cultural Center – CCSP, in 1990, 1997, and 2003. In Belo Horizonte, he presented his works in the exhibition BR/80 Painting Brazil Decade 80, at the Itaú Cultural Institute, in 1991. He exhibited at the Pampulha Art Museum – MAP, in 1990, in the group exhibition Poetics of Chance, and in 2004, in the exhibition Collected Works: 1943-2003. His first solo exhibition was in 1989, at the Macunaíma Gallery – Funarte, Rio de Janeiro. Since then, he has exhibited individually on numerous occasions.
