Galeria Karla Osorio participates, once again, in ZONA MACO Sur 2023, the main fair in Latin America that takes place in Mexico City next week. The stand’s curatorship brings together 3 Brazilian artists whose poetics explore the fertile ground of contemporary art for the investigation of multiple languages. Distinct trajectories and generations, reflecting on the time, memory, poetry and geometry of Almandrade, Daisy Xavier and Rodrigo Garcia Dutra.
The powerful female work of Daisy Xavier is the axis, it is the starting point of a dense dialogue that materializes in works of different scales and languages. His sculptural and flexible work, with nets, weaves, marks of time, which recently incorporates pulsating colors, paves the way for Almandrade’s poetic-political geometry and Rodrigo’s sacred-sensitive geometry. We will do, as Paulo Sergio Duarte said about Daisy’s three-dimensional work, “a tribute to empiricism, whose truth will be found in the body of experience, by trial and error, without any a priori”…All with lots of movement, color and vibrancy, honoring the tradition and Strong connections between Brazilian and Mexican cultures.
